The Tea Party Betrayal of the Republic

Since 2009 I have seen the rise of the Tea Party and hoped that at last a sizable force of American patriots were standing up for the principles of the Republic and going to force the government back behind the lines of the Constitution. The momentum of the movement resulted in the election of 2010 where the Republican Party regained control of the House of Representatives.

After that, the momentum, instead of growing stronger became more of a whimper in effectiveness; there was a return to the deep sleep conservatives go into when they have a victory… any victory. The Republican Party Tea Party leadership got a seat at the table and all I’ve seen since is a steady slide back to the “conservative” position and less and less of the American principled activism I saw at first. Pity, since I was thoroughly enjoying the thrashing members of Congress were getting from their constituents, especially the elderly, and hoping for the pressure to escalate, not subside.

Today I get thrown out of many Tea Party groups because I refuse to take the one thing that led to the birth of this nation off the table, force; we’re never going to regain what we’ve lost without it. Like our founders, millions of Americans have been petitioning the government for years while losing ground to the nanny state that has no interest in what the American people desire.

Like faithful troops in the battle for the state, leftist drones in all branches of government have pushed forward their various looney agendas on the American people; including the one that has done the most damage by taking control of our schools and educating the truth out of our children; filling their heads with socialist nonsense that only benefits the state and removes the heritage of our Republic from their minds.

We’ve become a nation of wimps; unwilling or too afraid to strap on our liberty teeth and bare them at the tyranny that has enslaved us. Congress, by passing the unconstitutional Patriot Act, has altered the conversation in such a way that no effective peaceful political opposition to the globalist takeover of our Republic is possible. They have closed the door to dialog, discussion, or debate and have instead imposed what they’re determined to turn America into on us.

Speaking out about tyranny in government as AMERICANS is no longer “legal”, so “conservatives”, seeking to be “law abiding citizens”, obey the edicts and usurpations of Congress by moving to “free speech zones” and complying with other ridiculous restrictions of our most basic rights. Such appeasement is effectively abandoning the principles of the Declaration of Independence and embracing the new globalist paradigm perpetual war.

Recently, my article “Time to Stand” (, got featured by the Tea Party…at least the first half of it. While I appreciated the exposure I was saddened by the continued cowardice of the Tea Party to embrace America’s revolutionary spirit and become truly engaged in the fight for its restoration.

It is time to take a stand against our enemies in government and restore it to its proper function for American liberty and prosperity to return.

Thomas you are 100% correct , we are at a point people are afraid to agree with the truth you are saying and scared of our Government to even press Like or leave a comment on your blog. People today un- like Madison, Jefferson , Franklin, etc have just not seen enough tyranny yet to act,…..but at some point we will have to but will it be to late?,….Could it take 5, 20, 50 years of civil war to take back our country?,….wish I knew the answers,…….

My main emphasis is for the people to simply arm themselves, not in safes or closets, but in the streets. Bear arms everywhere for the defense of themselves from criminals and overreaching government. If the people are attacked, at least they can defend themselves against their attackers. The Tea Party has consistently run from this issue, insisting that only peaceful demonstrations and protests are in the American tradition, which is a lie. I can only assume that the reason is cowardice and fear of reprisal from Congress, the IRS, or some other alphabet agency of the Feds.

We have come full circle and are now at April 19, 1775. Confiscations of arms started the American Revolution and our government is doing it once again; it is time to exercise our liberty teeth. If we don’t meet force with force we will lose the contest and what is left of our liberty. Once the shooting starts in earnest it will be for all the marbles. Make no mistake though… they have already fired the first shots by violating their oaths, usurping our Creator’s authority as well as our Natural Right of self-defense. Government has far exceeded its ONE lawful purpose of securing our rights and is now attacking them.
