Rebuilding the American Military

The action of the BLM against Cliven Bundy’s family and property is winding down after the Federal forces have withdrawn. The media is going to give the impression that all is well and there is no more need for all this attention or Militia. Many members of the Militia have responsibilities and obligations at home and it is just a matter of time before they get bored and need to take care of their lives at home. The militia is not paid; neither for their time or their ammunition and arms… it is a self-supporting force that depends upon the support of the community to survive in the field for any length of time.

The British had nothing but contempt for our Militia during the Revolution precisely because of their lack of discipline and commitment. They came to rely upon that weakness in attacking Washington and sent the Continental Army into retreat over and over again. We need to reorganize the Militia to remove this weakness, since we no longer have an Army or even reliable state forces that can fill the gap under loyal American leadership today. Forces under Federal control are increasingly being purged of loyal Americans and replaced with people less and less knowledgeable or concerned with American foundational principles; illegal immigrants in exchange for citizenship, gang bangers from our cities, and other forms of ObamaBots now fill the ranks.

We must rebuild the AMERICAN military from the ground up and find a way to support it, starting with the Militia… which is composed of We The People. While I emphasize building on local support and leadership, we must find ways to standardize the process of joining with our neighboring communities and states to repel threats and attacks in an organized and effective manner. Establish procedures and a chain of command that people will follow and respect, assuring that we remain faithful to our oath while mercilessly prosecuting our enemies.

My plan of action would accomplish this simply by regaining the infrastructure our enemies have infiltrated but in the event we’re forced to fight before that can happen, we must find ways to remove the deficit that exists today in our present Militia infrastructure.

The time delay of martialing a sufficient number of personnel with the appropriate gear, weapons, ammunition, and other important infrastructure is woefully inadequate today and was highlighted by the reaction to the Bundy Ranch crises. Furthermore, there should be an ability to continue monitoring the area of operation (AO) until the threat is definitively terminated, without the necessity of a full complement of troops on the ground. Our enemy has all those capabilities and more, while we have veterans trained in this technology as well as a very innovative and intelligent people capable of rising to the occasion; many of whom are victims of outsourcing or have been replaced by foreign technical workers. These are just a few examples of deficiencies that I see from my perspective. Some of these issues may be addressed in different areas but my concerns are for the entire Republic. If we can martial and react nationwide at any location within the United States of America, there is no way we can be subdued by any force.

This article is NOT meant as a jab at the Militia… I’m not in the habit of insulting my neighbors, though I inadvertently do at times. I’m merely pointing out what I see as both historical as well as present day issues with a volunteer citizen force that must be addressed before this war begins in earnest. We’re no longer fighting attacks on the frontier but organized and well trained government forces and if we’re to prevail we must adapt. It was encouraging to see so many volunteers willing to answer the call, it would be better to have established procedures to make those assets as efficient and effective as quickly as possible without people 2,000 miles away feeling they needed to get there. Most areas in America have sufficient force to defend their ground if we will only organize to do so.

The Militia is not about flag waving and supporting demonstrators but a force to repel armed threats against the community. If you want to demonstrate and wave flags, join the Tea Party.
