Oaths before a Holy God

“Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.’

‘For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words.’

‘When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.’

‘Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.” – Holy Bible, Ecclesiastes 5:2-5

The Judeo-Christian religious concept of future rewards and punishment by a Just and Holy Creator is an integral component of our government when you consider the purpose of the oath of office; what makes it much more than a promise to man or a mere formality. When a person swears an oath to God, his promise is to the deity, not the people and in the Christian or Jewish faith a vow or oath to God is a solemn and extremely serious act.

The oath was instituted to call upon a far greater punishment than the people could ever deliver, for no matter the severity it is temporal and ends with this life; not so with the Creator, his punishment is to the spirit and eternal and anyone who genuinely believes would rather die than offend that judge! When you elect godless men and women to office you remove the greatest check our founders inserted into the government and open the door to everything human nature is prone to. Theft, murder, sexual perversion, plunder, deception, and every vile and destructive propensity of the human spirit… just search your own heart and the desires you must check in your own life and multiply that a hundred or even a thousand fold.

The men and women that are put into office today, while they may pretend piety and virtue, have no regard for their oaths and by their actions show either contempt or unbelief in our Creator; there is no fear in their hearts of punishment for what they do today or they fear their earthly masters much more, due to their shallow belief in God; masters that are contemptible of the rights the Constitution and Bill of Rights protect.

The oath of office is central to restoring the American Republic and Americans are being foolish by putting any person in office that doesn’t believe in future rewards and punishment after this life; no matter what particular religion they have or even no religion at all, since it is a check against the evils of human nature on a person sworn to secure your rights and is only effective on those that believe. What you believe in your private life is your choice and you must live with the consequences of the choices you make, but those who are placed into offices of authority should be bound by their conscience and fear the consequences of violating an oath that obligates them to secure your natural rights. If those people who took the oath don’t believe in God or their god doesn’t obligate them to honor oaths, do you want them in offices that have the power to harm you and your family?

Think about it…
