Any person who thinks they can change the District of Columbia for the better by running for the Senate of the United States has not thought it through. The Senate was created to represent the State Legislatures in Congress, not the people by popular vote; their representation was in the House of Representatives. The 17th amendment, one of the many fraudulent corporate amendments imposed on the States and the People since the bloody war of 1861-1865, was the product of the corporate oligarchy for the benefit of the corporate oligarchy.
The oath they will administer to you upon entering office will be to the corporate constitution. You will be bound by your word to the corporate system, which is why the voice of the people is never adhered to by Congress; their constituents are lobbyists of other corporations. Congress is a Board of Directors of the corporate UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT (Dunn & Bradstreet #052714196), not the representatives of the American People.
Elections will not save the American Republic, only restoring the organic Constitution will. It may make you feel good to vote for someone who knows the right thing to say but you’ll soon discover that they’re unable to follow through. The promises of politicians today, in this system, are assurances of betrayal.
